Have you ever killed someone? Or seriously wounded someone?

Most of us have probably never done either, or at least not physically speaking.

BUT have you ever killed or seriously wounded someone with your words?

Most people don't realize just how powerful words are...

Words can express love, hatred, distaste, pride, humility, disgust, wisdom, foolishness, confidence, happiness, sadness, joy, peace, etc... you can use words to say anything you please.

You can say things deliberately or carelessly...

A lot of times words hurt. Sometimes people make them hurt on purpose, and sometimes they aren't paying attention to what they are saying...

The words of a talebearer are as wounds...

You can kill people with your words!

You can slice people to pieces with your words! You can make them feel worthless, unwanted, hated...

"It only takes ONE negative comment to kill a dream."

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Watch every word that comes out of your mouth! Think before you speak! Make sure you aren't using your words to kill people!
