*Torri's Bridal Shower*

colors: turquoise + yellow, with a tiny bit of green

 {Torri + Aunt Becky}

My absolute favorite decoration!

Decorating the mantle added a lot! =) {doncha love the mirrors?}

Mom and Aunt Bek get the credit for the very creative decorations...
{I did write on the chalkboards!}

Now this sweet lady, oh may I brag on her for a few minutes? or an hour? {JK}
This is the lady who opened her home for the shower, and let me tell you; She has the most wonderful servants heart. She rearranged her living room for us, went out of her way to procure some very nice dishes, as well as did a lot of the clean up. And that is my few second version of an hour long speech! This is one very special lady!

Someone showed me a secret little window that gave me an AWESOME vantage point! I had so much fun getting some wonderful pictures from above!

Someone in their church offered to do the cake, and these two gorgeous girls volunteered to help her!
And that cake! It was so beautiful and delicious! I couldnt help taking tons of pictures of it!

 I was behind the camera all day so this is seriously the only one I got in! =/ I had so much fun! {I took 481 pictures! I guess it was good practice for the reception!}

Congrats Tor! I love you girlie! =)

Summer // Things I'm Loving

Well, my {semi-normal} summer is just about over. We got a call this week that detasseling starts {dark and early} tomorrow morning. It is about 2 weeks early this year, but I'm excited. A lot of people I know are doing it, so hopefully it will be really fun! =P

This past week was really busy. We got a ton done on our house, lost power for a day, and endured 100 degree weather with no A/C.

I mowed our ENTIRE lawn/cleared area. After adding it all up, I think it took me 6 1/2 to 8 hours over Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It was hot and I got fairly burnt. Oh yeah, and I think I should mention that I saw 3 snakes, screamed once, and killed one. {thats an accomplishment.}

THINGS I"M LOVING

air conditioning// watching movies// reading books// sewing// wearing flip-flops// power-aide{lemon lime and grape}// pizza rolls{this week I discovered you can cook em in the microwave!}// snuggling with Sam// thunderstorms// fireworks//

Camp Canaan

When Mr. J asked me if I wanted to go with them to Camp- I was more than a little surprised. J I didn’t really know what to expect. I have been to camp twice. Once was for 2 weeks- the first was day camp, the second was overnight, but my parents were staying at the campground. The second time was Junior camp in Florida. I don’t remember much of either time.

Helping out at camp was a lot of fun! I really didn’t do much other than take tons of pictures and videos. I did help out in the kitchen a couple times too, and I had a no-liner in a skit. {lol}
I am glad that I got the opportunity{even if it was literally last minute} to go! I had a lot of fun.

It was the first time I have ever really gone anywhere by myself{meaning without my family}.
{ I take that back. I went to Iowa/Wisconsin/Illinois one weekend with my Aunt and Uncle when my cousins where playing college football. I was probably about 7. :P}
I really enjoyed getting to spend time with Suzy- it was especially nice since she has to go back to college {super} early this year.

I was able to go horseback-riding for the first time ever. {Unless you count a “pony” ride at a carnival.} I had no clue about how to ride a horse, but I managed to survive an hour and a half ride- through the woods, across a field, over streams, along a road{freaky}, down a mountain etc.

One of the first things Pastor U. told us was “Look up in the tree tops- you might see a bear.” He wasn’t joking either. And he wasn’t joking when he told us to watch out for snakes and worse yet- a mountain lion. {All we saw was a deer.}

{Esther: Isn't she so cute? I miss her already! :)}

Isaac had a lot of fun, mainly playing in the sand box!

The Pastors wife got the 3 of us girls matching shirts.
She had to make sure she got pictures!

This is a bull... Its hard to explain, so maybe I'll eventually post a video.

They made slime one day...

My no-liner in the skit- I was "taping" the reporter... lol

One of the skits.

Pennsylvania

Right now I am in Pennsylvania with my friend Suzy. We are spending a week here to help at a camp here.

 Suzy took these two pictures on the way out here.

Suzy and I took Esther for a walk. The town is right on the side of the mountain. It is really cool.

 This is the view down the road from Samantha's house.

{Samantha's house.}
 It was Suzy's idea to go down this hill- it was super steep.

Front door anyone?
